Rossmin Mining (Umzimkhulu Industrial Holdings) is an open-cast limestone operation near Port Shepstone, KwaZulu-Natal, established in 2010 to mine the Marble Delta deposit. As a JT Ross Group member, it produces high-quality calcitic and dolomitic limestone for agriculture,, animal feed, industrial fillers, and food-grade products.

Boilermaker internship
Minimum requirements for Boilermaker internship:
- N2/N3/NCV Boiler-making or Mechanical Engineering
- Basic knowledge of welding fabrication
- Willing to learn and work in hands-on environment
- Strong attention to detail and safety awereness
Key responsibilities:
- Assist with assembly and installation of fabricated components, support construction activities within the mining environment under the supervision of qualified boilermakers.
- Support welding, cutting, and shaping of metal components.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times.
- Work alongside qualified boilermakers to gain practical experience.

Chemical Engineering internship
Minimum requirements for Chemical Engineering:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed S4 in Chemical Engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Analytical Chemistry intership
Minimum requirements for Analytical Chemistry:
- S4/ Diploma or Degree in Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Computer literacy (MS Office, data analysis tools).
Key responsibilities:
- Perform routine analysis of all samples in accordance with standard procedures.
- Conduct pre-inspection of laboratory equipment before the start of each shift to ensure proper functionality.
- Accurately capture and record test results in Excel spreadsheet and laboratory log sheet.
- Communicate results effectively to the Process Controller and Packing Plant Team Leader.
- Report all non-conforming products to the Lab Technician and Quality Manager for further evaluation and decision-making.
- Investigate and analyze test results to identify trends, deviations, or potential issues.
- Monitor and record borehole water meter readings on a weekly basis.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness within the laboratory.
- Ensure proper retention and storage of samples in the designated sample storage area.
- Familiarity with XRF, PSD Analyzer, and Chrome Meter is an advantage.
- Work shift as required to support continuous operations.
